PAUL’S SURGERY

Sunday, July 24 – Just a quick update on Paul’s knee replacement this past Tuesday. The surgery went super. The doctor told Marsha he had to use the biggest knee they make. Marsha told the doctor, “Now he will think he is the MAN!”

Paul is doing all his home exercises and begins PT on Monday. He is able to handle the pain…with a little help from his capsule friends.

  4. Good to see Paul smiling, but I know it is not all sunny out there:) That is quite the machine, Paul. Wishing great success with your new knee:)

You have quite a collection of little friends, Marsha. The birds are beautiful, especially that last little guy:) I imagine Bella enjoys watching them.

  5. Glad to see Paul with a smile on his face. Definitely medically induced. Hopefully his rehabilitation will be complete before it's time to head south this fall. Just hope he doesn't overdo it and create his own setback. I'm sure Bella will sense Paul's illness and stick close to him during his recovery.
Great pictures of natures little friends.

  12. Glad to hear the knee replacement went well for Paul. I am sure he heard this from his doctor and others, but my doctor really stressed how important the 6 weeks of PT after knee surgery pretty much defines how well the healing process will be.

I went through it for both knees in one year and did the PT the proper way and my knees are fine now. Hang in there Paul and this will just be a distant memory in a while.

  13. Good to see him using a CPM machine at home. That helped me a LOT! Do remind him straight as important as bent, though. I didn't make it all the way to straight during therapy which affected my back.

  15. Nice to hear that Paul came through the surgery with flying colours. Hope his recovery time goes by quickly and that he doesn't try to over do things to quickly.

Love all the birds you have at your place. Looks like they get well fed, guess that's why they hang around. :-)
