Saturday, March 2 – Continuing our Saturday outing, we next stopped at two wineries both in Comfort, Texas. Yes, it is only 11:00 a.m. but we have to start sometime.
Our first stop was The Singing Water Vineyard.
The tasting house is a rebuilt 100 year old Hill Country barn. There are three tasting rooms, and they were all full.
Jan was wonderful. The bottle she is holding is called 2010 Freedom. The sale of this wine supports our troops with college scholarship funds for children of veterans.
Their white wines are cold processed in stainless steel tanks for natural fresh flavors and aromas. This is the first time we ever heard of using stainless steel tanks.
The other winery we visited was called Bending Branch Winery. It is an organically focused operation with 13+ acres of vines, comprising 13 varietals, a wine made primarily from a single named grape variety.
This is a smaller winery but very nice.
We enjoyed six different wines. Yummy!
We enjoyed the wine sampling in both places and highly recommend them. Marsha purchased two bottles of wine at each place. She's again collecting wine from different areas for a wine tasting party she's planning for this summer.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y'all back real soon. Have a great day!
