BLAKE SHELTON AT THE HOUTON RODEO

Friday, March 15 – Sorry, but Marsha said an entire blog must be dedicated to her favorite country singer.

Following the rodeo was the near-record Reliant Stadium crowd of 75,238 for the Blake Shelton concert. Blake sings many of today's most popular songs…Austin, All About Tonight, Honey Bee, God Gave Me You, Hillbilly Bone, and tons more.

Carrie and Marsha especially enjoyed this part of the Rodeo. They acted like a couple of middle school girls screaming and singing along with the western “hunk.” JEESH!

Paul will admit he was entertaining, but he didn't scream. It was quite a show.

Blake is a very popular performer. He is one of the judges on "The Voice." The crowd was well pleased and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable time.

We planned on parking off the Reliant Stadium grounds and riding the train to the Rodeo. This is especially important at the end of the concert when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. But even though we had the address logged into our GPS, we could not not find the Park & Ride Station. We eventually decided to bite the bullet and paid to park in one of the stadium lots. It worked out great, because after the rodeo was over around 11 p.m. as we crossed I-610 on the pedestrian bridge, we were able to see Paul's big white pickup sitting in the lot. We jumped in and were out of the traffic almost immediately. Maybe it's because it takes us “older folks” longer to get to our vehicles. The young kids have skedaddled by then!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y'all back real soon. Have a great day!
