ON THE ROAD TO EL PASO, TX

Thursday, January 19 – After leaving the Judge Roy Bean Museum, we continued west on US-90. What a beautiful route. We highly recommend this route, especially the section between San Antonio and El Paso . There is very little traffic, speed limit of 65 mph, a nice smooth surface and very wide berms. Oh, and beautiful mountain scenery!

The wind was so bad, tumbleweed flew in front of us the entire drive. Crazy.

When we travel, Bella loves to sleep on Paul’s lap.

We crossed into Mountain Time just before entering El Paso. We passed through the city without too much trouble, but traffic was fairly heavy. We are staying at Sunland Racetrack and Casino which is actually in New Mexico but just off I-10 as you leave El Paso. The sites are on asphalt with water and 50 amp electric. There is a dump station available. Cost is $15 per night. There are eight sites available and luckily there is only one other RV here, so we have the “campground” (pavement) almost to ourselves.

We have plenty to see in El Paso, so stop back and see the city through our eyes!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
