Friday, March 11 - We went over to the Elks Lodge this morning to do some volunteer work in the library. The other day we looked in the library thinking we would pick up a few books to replenish our MH library shelf......what a mess! They have tons of books but where do you start? They aren’t in any kind of order, except the order of chaos.
So we decided to come over and alphabetize by author. We spent a couple hours and left the place in much better shape......for how long is anybody's guess....LOL. Paul found about a dozen books to add to his personal library.....summer reading!!!
They really need to add another bookcase!
Later on in the afternoon, we again went to watch Kelly's High School softball team take on Katy High School. Unfortunately, they lost, but they played a very tough team and did quite well!
Saturday, March 12 - We went over to Kelly's apartment to watch some college basketball and Marsha prepared an Italian dinner.....yum! We enjoyed visiting with Kelly and catching up with her busy life. We watched Kelly's favorite team, University of North Carolina, beat Clemson. They'll now play on Sunday in the ACC Championship game. Then on to the NCCA Tournament....March Madness! OH by the way, our Buckeyes won too!
Sunday, March 13 – Went to church this morning at the Methodist church we attended several times back in December.
This afternoon more basketball. UNC lost to Duke, but our Buckeyes beat Purdue. We supported our Elks tonight. Spent couple of hours visiting the lounge and donating to the cause.
Monday, March 14 – WOW…we had a huge storm go through here this morning. We can’t even remember the last time we were in a storm like this…thunder and lighting. The storm canal in back of us filled rapidly.
Once it stopped the water began receding very quickly. Did you notice how green the grass is around here?
The Snapdragons are in full bloom.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
Oh my! After all you do when you visit places and people, would you come over to my place? I have things that need doing too!
ReplyDeleteI remember you are quite a reader Marsha. Us too. Lately I am reading everything by Jodi Picoult. I have 5 of them now. Should I save some for you?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jeri - you just can't sit still can you. I'm sure I could put you to work if you come our direction. Just so you wouldn't feel not welcome.
ReplyDeleteYes, that book swap needed work for sure. We were looking for a used book case to donate while we were there and never found one. You two are so terrific to have done that.
ReplyDeleteThose snapdragons are just beautiful. I saw the prettiest ones in a campground over the weekend - hot pink and white combination.
We are on the road today but I'll try to email you tonight - in reply to two of yours ... I am getting SO bad at returning mails!
