BREAKFAST WITH FRIENDS…LAURIE AND ODEL

Thursday, March 8 – We met fellow bloggers Laurie & Odel, Semi-True Tales, for breakfast this morning at the Bisbee Breakfast Club. The BBC has a branch restaurant here in Tucson. What a delightful couple. We felt so comfortable meeting them for the first time....even though they are soooo famous in the blog world. We were a little late for our agreed upon time due to a GPS error on our part, but Laurie and Odel were very understanding and we had a great visit for about two hours. They were checking out of their campground this morning and heading toward Phoenix, so we were happy they could spend a little time with us. Thanks and have a safe trip Laurie & Odel.

We then took Bella out for a desert hike for about an hour.

After returning her to the motor home, we headed back out for a hike ourselves. We spent about two hours roaming around the desert and then returned to the campground to relax in the sun for the remainder of the afternoon.

It was then off to the Walmart grocery store this evening to re-supply our refrigerator.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y'all back real soon. Have a great day!

  1. When you read each other's blog, it's like meeting old friends when you finally meet each other in person. How nice you had a chance to visit.

  2. I noticed in the picture Paul was walking Bella but Bella was ahead of him. They both have their eyes on the trail just to be sure that snake doesn't return.

  3. Glad to see that you haven't let the snakes keep you off the trails. Good to take Bella with you - my cousin swears that her two barn cats used to kill rattlers that dared to enter the barn.

  4. Watch out for those snakes...lol. As much time as Louise and I have spent in the desert, we have only seen 3 or 4 rattlers on our hikes. They are pretty easy to walk right by without ever seeing them. Enjoy your hikes and don't worry about them.

  5. How cool that you got to meet the famous Odel and Laurie!
I am working on Quincy with the leash but it takes forever just to get him to walk about 20 feet. Don't foresee him doing any hiking like Bella.
