Saturday, May 12 – We arrived here in at Park of the Sierras an Escapee Co-Op Park early Friday. We had some difficulty getting a site. We called the past three days only to be told they were full and to keep trying. We decided to head to Coarsegold, CA,, where the park is located, and see if a site was available when we arrived. If not we had a back-up spot at the Oakhurst Elks (located 7 miles from Coarsegold). Every once and awhile we get lucky....there was one spot available for 3 days. We took it!

This is one of the nicest Escapee Parks we've stayed in. It is the nicest park we've stayed in this calendar year! The sites are not lined up row after row. Rather, the 250 sites are scattered throughout the woods in no particular pattern. The club house is beautiful, a very nice laundry – which Marsha quickly took advantage of, the people go out of their way to be friendly, a nice library, and all at a very reasonable rate. We are very happy with our decision to come here!

We wish all you moms out there a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y'all back real soon. Have a great day.
We loved our stay there. We stayed in the boondocking area as they were full when got there. The first place I panned for gold was in the stream in the back of the park. I didn't find any gold but one of the park residents took us out and showed us how to do it....I was hooked.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers' Day! We're really enjoying interior Washington State. Will you coming this way?
ReplyDeleteI think that park is one of Toni's favorites. Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLike the looks of the park.
ReplyDeleteHappy Moms Day!!
Lucky you found available space. We have a friend that lives there and really thinks it's the best RV park in the country.
ReplyDeleteWe just missed Duane & Louise here at lovely North Ranch.
Enjoy your stay.
We have visited that park, but did not stay. It is a gorgeous park. Had hoped to stay there last summer, but family's plans took us another direction. We may make it someday. That's quite a club house! And of course, Happy Mothers Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking RV Park, glad you found a spot.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's to Marsha.
Yes, yes, one of our favourites. We have lots of friends there. Mert and Jan Staples are just across the road from you. Not sure of their site number. Carole and Gerry are up in the 200's. Lori and Mike are down in the dip. Ask about them all and say "Hi how are ya" to them from us. Enjoy the park and definitely drive up to Oakhurst. Great thrift stores there.
ReplyDeleteYes, we have lots of friends there - Mert and Jan live just across the street from you. Carole and Gerald live in the 200's and Mike and Lori are down in the dell. Enjoy it. We missed it this year.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't been there yet but have heard nothing but good things about it. You were lucky to get a site.
ReplyDeleteThis park goes on our list! Happy Mother's day to you.....
ReplyDeleteThat's one park I have been wanting to visit. I thought it looked rather hilly on their website but it doesn't look like you had a problem. Thanks for the pictures. Hope you had a great Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a GREAT park. Love the fact that the sites aren't all precisely located, rather randomly located!!
