Saturday, September 20 – We hit the road early this morning, South bound on Interstate 77. We sailed through Charlotte, VA, just at the tail end of rush hour, missing most of the heavy traffic. We had planned on spending some time here but since we were delayed leaving Ohio, we'll discover this growing city another time.
We moved on to Columbia, SC, and checked into the Barnyard RV Park. This is a very nice Good Sams Discount park with paved streets, gravel sites with concrete patios and plenty of privacy space between the sites. We are in a 50 amp, full hook-up site. Site 6C to be exact.
The good news about Barnyard RV Park is Bella likes it! For some strange cat logic, Bella did not want to venture out of the 5th wheel at our last stop. She either wasn't feeling well or was afraid of something. Who can figure out cats? We are only here to serve her....LOL.
There is a huge flea market, or Pulga for our South Texas friends, right next door. So, after getting set-up, we spent about an hour walking around looking at all the junk. Opps, I mean great bargains. Didn't find any hidden treasures, so came back to the campground and spent the afternoon relaxing outside with Bella and watching some college football.

We are a few days behind in our posting. It is actually Monday, and we leave for Augusta, GA, tomorrow morning. We will continue to get everyone caught up on our fall adventures.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day.
what a lovely looking park. . .and FABULOUS HEADER PIC. . .WOW! I want to be there. . .
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've found beautiful little park - very relaxing looking. Must be good if Bella likes it.
ReplyDeleteBarnyard RV Park should use Bella's endorsement in their advertising. Not everyone gets the Bella seal of approval.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting name for a campground:)
ReplyDeleteI'm making note of that park, there are so many in that area that are narrow and have so many untrimmed trees.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking park! Noah has parks that he feels comfortable in right away. Then there are others that, like Bella, he shows no interest in venturing out. Here at Devil's Tower, he went out and immediately wanted in. Maybe it's the Buffalo.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Bella gave you her okay, you can stay. She probably has that inner vibe that let's her know what RV parks are safe for her and what ones aren't.
ReplyDeleteLove that header photo!! I guess that is what you see when you get out before noon:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad Bella was finally happy with your choice of locations:)
We are happy Bella likes the park.
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at Dreher Island SP for 3 weeks a few years ago. We were thinking of eventually settling on Lake Murray so we spent some time on it with our dinghy, then decided we didn't want to live in the Carolinas after all.
