Tuesday, January 12 – The big game is finally here. The inaugural National Championship college football game would be played tonight. Our The Ohio State Buckeyes, which after their loss to Virginia Tech were given only a 40-1 odds to be in the playoff, will play the Ducks from the University of Oregon. Marsha’s biggest decision of the day was what would she wear? She knew her Buckeye necklace was a shoe in. She didn’t know if she wanted to wear the short-sleeve T-shirt, long-sleeve T-shirt or sweatshirt. If all life’s decisions could be this easy!
It doesn’t take much to make her happy.
It was the battle of the O states. Lee Coro picked the Buckeyes to win the game on ESPN Gameday. We thought that would be the jinx that would do us in.
The game was awesome. Both teams played their hearts out. We were nervous wrecks the entire game. We were just waiting for the shoe to drop. But…..
1st | 2nd | 3rd | |
OSU | 14 | 21 | 28 |
ORE | 7 | 10 | 20 |
Ezekiel Elliott was named MVP. What a game he had!
This was only Cardale Jones’, our third-string quarterback, third start. Outstanding!
Now here is a class act. Urban Meyer, OSU football coach.
What a night for the Buckeye Nation! Congratulations to The Ohio State Buckeye football team.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
Congratulations to the Buckeyes, but the Ducks weren't bad either. Good game.
ReplyDeleteYou look real good in that outfit, Marsha. Want me to send you a Duck hat to go with it?
ReplyDeleteIt was a good game, and I was really impressed with the entire Ohio State team. I'm afraid the Ducks got thrown out of their normal rhythm and then they got man handled. We just can't seem to beat Ohio State in football...our record of wins against them over the years is ZERO!
Personally, I think the appearance of the Ducks on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine was the thing that doomed them. That SI Curse strikes again! Got your winnings on the way to you. Keep your eyes open, maybe Friday.
Congratulations! Even though we were rooting for Oregon, it was a well-deserved win for Ohio State.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what Donna and Russ would say. Now I know! Congrats to both teams.
ReplyDeletewell. . .if our Texas boys couldn't be there. . .then I'm happy for you guys. . .HURRAH! WAY TO GO! Congrats. . .I know it was fun for ya. . .
ReplyDeleteI am really impressed with Cardale Jones. I think we will be hearing a lot about him in the next few years. Of course I was sad that our beloved Ducks lost but the Buckeyes won it fair and square!! It's funny, we were Ducks fans when a "good" season was when they won 4 or 5 games. It was almost more fun as they were always the underdogs and a win was a REALLY BIG DEAL. Now we get disappointed if they are not Number 1 haha. I think number 2 is still not a bad place to be. Congrats to Ohio State.
ReplyDeleteDespite the loss of quarterback after quarterback, Ohio State pulls it off. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteOne of the interesting stories of the year, congrats to the Buckeyes.
ReplyDeleteNow thats should make you both very happy people. Congrats to the Buckeyes.
ReplyDeleteCongratus to you on your Buckeyes. However, in another breathe I'll say GO SEAHAWKS.
ReplyDeleteQuack, Quack! The Buckeyes roasted the Ducks alright.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good game and we enjoyed watching. Too bad for the Oregon quarterback to have such a weak game for his last. But, congratulations to your Ohio Buckeyes!! Good outfit, Marsha:)
