Thursday, February 5 - We are in Desert Hot Springs, CA, at Desert Pools RV. We are in Site 165, a full-hookup/50amp site. This seems to be a very nice park. Many winter snowbirds, of course. The streets are paved and the sites are nice level gravel with some plantings between the sites to provide a little privacy.
This Park used to be a Horizon Park, a membership park. It is now open to the public. They do accept Passport America.
They have three mineral pools we'll have to try out soon.
104 degrees; 100 degrees; 98 degrees
Being a snowbird destination park they have plenty of activities, if you wish to take part. There's pickleball, volleyball, horseshoes, bingo, a fitness center, shuffleboard, pool tables, mini-golf, many socializing opportunities and more.
We will be here a week to relax, do some sightseeing, meet up with friends, give our mail a chance to catch-up with us and take a dip in those hot spring pools!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
Check out the Coachella Valley Nature Preserve while your there. That was one of our workcamp jobs. There are some really nice trails there

ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice place. Nice that they have different spas with different temperatures.
ReplyDeleteWhen it was still Western Horizons it was our home park. We were there yesterday visiting friends. Like the changes they've made. But there sure aren't the number of people there that use to be this time of year. We will be there and Catalina Spa from the 17th of Feb. until the end of March.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're back in civilization again. Enjoy those hot tubs. They sure look inviting to me.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing about these pools. Will have to get over there and check them out. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd start out in the coolest pool first and work my way up. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful park we have been there a few times, but actually enjoy Catalina spa around the corner even more.
ReplyDeleteHave fun while in the area.
Always good to give the mail time to catch up.
ReplyDeleteIt was great visiting with you and Paul yesterday morning and finally getting to meet you both after all of our blog reading and correspondence!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, hot mineral springs.....I could use a good soak right now.
ReplyDeletelove, love, love the look of that park, and those springs. . .think you found a winner with that one.
ReplyDeleteI've added it to the list for when we make it back to Cali. . .looks like a great place to spend a week doing nothing. . .ahhhh. . .but you did say something about poor cell service. . .hmmm. . .might be worth it though. . .LOL!
We stayed there several times love the spring fed pools. Always windy there for us in the spring. Lots to do there. Are you going to Oregon and parts north?
