Sunday, September 20 – We said good-bye to Augusta and headed out to a new adventure. We are gong to tour the edges of Florida. This is our first “extended” visit to Florida as RV’ers.
We made a stop at the Visitor’s Center. WOW….what a welcome. As we walked in a lady asked us if we would like a glass of Florida OJ. “Heck yes!” we said. Delicious.
Now this is a way to make a great first impression!
We are sure we will see a few of these during our visit.
We will be visiting the St. Augustine area for the next four days. Marsha has a boat-load of places she wants to see. Hope the rain stays away.
We are staying at the St. Augustine Elks. There are five spaces with 30 amp and water. There is no dump. The price is $20/night. There are three of us here.
They have a Tiki Bar here that we plan to visit this evening.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
One of the friendliest Elks clubs. Ed sang karaoke at that Tiki bar. Enjoy St Augustine. We sure did.
ReplyDeleteWe really liked St St. Augustine and the Elks there.
ReplyDeleteWe visited St. Augustine many years ago and enjoy our time there, have too much fun.
ReplyDeleteSt. Augustine and the Elks are on our list of places we hope to spend a little time this winter too. I've seen YOUR list of places you'll be visiting. For now, we'll follow you along with your blog in Florida and tweak our list after you report on them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the orange juice a neat idea! Such a perfect welcome. Looks like a decent Elks. Enjoy St. Augustine. Don't forget the Fountain of Youth. It did nothing for me!!! Darn!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Florida! I stayed many times at that lodge, Enjoy the state park there you can walk to it and enter free. Will enjoy sitting on your bumper. I plan on years to come selling our motorhome and moving back to Florida most likly in a 55 over comm. Jensen beach area. Near my Daughters. Enjoy Paradise!
ReplyDeleteBTW stayed in that spot!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy St Augustine, it has a great history.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy St Augustine. We found it to be a beautiful city.
ReplyDeleteLove the Saint Augustine Lodge. We often just go down and stay there a few days for a change of scenery. Hope you enjoy it as much as we always do ~ it's always "hopping" on the weekends at the tiki bar.
