Saturday, December 31 - With 2016 coming to a close, we are preparing to leave the Houston Elks Lodge and head West.
Marsha spent most of December in Ohio visiting family and friends. Canton had a very cold, snowy and icy December. Paul and Carrie only spent five days at Christmas in Ohio and escaped without having to slosh around in any snow. We celebrated a wonderful Christmas day with our family. Santa was very good to us all. Even though we had an enjoyable time with family, it was sure nice to get back to the eighty degree temperatures in Houston.
Our traditional Christmas photo.

The family showing how much fun we had on Christmas day.
Marsha always grabs a window seat when she flies. She loves taking photos out the window. She had a beautiful day for flying back to Houston from Canton.
Flying over Houston Medical Center.
We depart for points West on January 5, if all goes well. Paul has some last minute medical appointments we are hoping will not delay our departure. We hope to spend several weeks touring El Paso, Las Cruces, Deming, Willcox, Bisbee, Benson, Why, and Casa Grande before finally reaching Yuma, AZ, around the beginning of February.
We plan a couple weeks stay in Tucson, then up to Sedona, AZ, before settling in the Phoenix area for Cleveland Indians Baseball Spring Training for the month of March. It's going to be a busy and event-filled winter for us in the American Southwest.
We would like to wish all our family and friends a 2017 filled with love, laughter and adventure.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see y’all back real soon. Have a great day!
Happy New Year, maybe our paths will cross.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you two are going to be busy. We will be watching to see if we get close enough for a lunch visit.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. We are so happy that we are going to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteGood looking family! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. Looking forward to you getting to AZ. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your family photos:) We actually had all four of us together yesterday and no one remembered to take a photo!!! I remembered this morning. A lot of good that did with Jessica in PA and Kevin in GA. Now that was quite a crowd for Christmas dinner! Looks like lots of fun:)
ReplyDeleteWe will be in Naco, AZ the first week of Feb with Dave and Sue for a golf week. It is just down the road from Bisbee. We usually hit Bisbee for dinner. There are a few nice hikes in Bisbee but there was quite a bit of snow last year. Bisbee is at 5500 ft. Naco is almost a 1,000 lower at 4600' so there is less snow or none. We all move to Tucson on Feb 8! Hopefully, we can all meet up with you and Paul. The four of us are staying Lazydays/KOA. We'll be there until March 10. We then move to White Tank Regional Park northwest of Phoenix for five night. So...we must get together.
Wishing you and Paul a happy, healthy New Year! Safe travels as you head out of Houston:)
Happy New Year! Sounds like a good plan. Hope to run into you somewhere this winter.
